About the role
About the role
As Senior Evaluation Officer, you will play a pivotal role in delivering the Reconstruction Authority's evaluation function, supporting evidence-based decision-making across a broad portfolio of recovery, resilience and funding programs. Working across the organisation, you will lead and coordinate evaluation activities that assess program effectiveness, governance, compliance and outcomes, ensuring valuable lessons are captured and translated into future improvements.
This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a significant body of evaluation work, including a range of major program evaluations arising from historical disaster events, while also helping embed contemporary evaluation practices into future programs. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, government partners and external service providers to strengthen evaluation capability and ensure programs deliver meaningful social, economic and community outcomes.

You are an experienced evaluation professional who is passionate about using evidence and data to improve programs, services and community outcomes. You bring strong analytical skills, sound judgement and the ability to engage diverse stakeholders to deliver high-quality evaluations in complex environments.

About the Agency
The NSW Reconstruction Authority (the RA) is an executive agency of the Premier’s Department. The RA will improve how NSW plans for disasters and help communities to recover from them faster.
To reduce the severity and impacts of disasters, the RA will complete critical planning and preparation with communities, businesses, and government. When disaster does strike, we will get recovery started swiftly and coordinate reconstruction efforts across agencies, communities, and other stakeholders.
