THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced and confident HR Lead to step into a key role supporting our leaders and team. Acting as a HR Business Partner, you will provide strategic guidance and hands-on support across the full employee lifecycle. 

This is an opportunity to make an immediate impact in a fast-moving, project-driven environment while building trusted relationships with leaders and leading the HR team.

What you will do:

• Partner with leaders on workforce planning, employee engagement, performance and change management.
• Lead and resolve complex employee relations matters, ensuring compliance with the Fair Work Act, NES and internal policies.
• Oversee end-to-end recruitment and onboarding, including senior appointments. 
• Drive retention strategies and support talent development programs.
• Maintain and improve HR systems, processes, and policies in line with best practice.
• Provide practical coaching and advice to managers on performance management.
• Act as a key contact for legal counsel on employment matters and support investigations and compliance activities.
• Lead and mentor the HR team, building capability across the function.
• Other duties as requested by the Business Support Manager.

THE PERSON

• Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources with proven experience within a project, engineering or similar environment.
• Strong knowledge of Fair Work Act, NES, and Industry Awards.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
• Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to influence and partner with senior stakeholders
• Able to work autonomously and manage competing priorities with professionalism and confidentiality.
• Pragmatic, resilient, and able to balance compliance with commercial outcomes.
