The role

We’re looking for a Lawyer to join our Corporate practice in Sydney. 

Our Corporate team was recently ranked 1st in Australia for 2025 – Equity & Equity-related Capital Markets (issuer clients by deal count) and equal 2nd in the Mergermarket Australian M&A league tables for deal count in Q1 2025, reflecting the strength and momentum of our corporate practice.

We offer broad work and development opportunities, while also giving you the space to specialise in areas you’re genuinely passionate about. With work spanning both domestic and international markets, you’ll advise corporations, private equity sponsors, founders and investment banks across a wide range of industries.

You will have the opportunity to work alongside the National Head of Corporate, Gaynor Tracey.

Gaynor brings 25 years’ experience in M&A in London and Australia. She is an experienced corporate transactional and advisory lawyer with a diverse and extensive skillset, having developed a successful corporate transactional practice representing public and large private companies, funds, banks and shareholders in Australia and internationally. Gaynor regularly advises clients on foreign investment, regulated and private treaty M&A transactions both buy and sell-side and domestic and inbound equity investments.

We’re looking for someone: 

• 3-4 years’ PQE in a leading private practice environment;
• who has strong Australian private law experience, with any public markets and ASX experience also considered favourably;
• with a genuine passion for corporate law and practice;
• who wants a fantastic team culture;
• who wants to work directly with a senior practitioner;
• who wants to accelerate their career by working in a leading, growing, national ECM and M&A team; and
• with an entrepreneurial and innovative mind-set.
