Mornington Peninsula Dental Clinic is looking for two trainee dental assistants to join our team. No previous dental experience is required. What matters most is your enthusiasm, willingness to learn and desire to help people feel comfortable and well cared for.

The Role

As a Trainee Dental Assistant, you will work alongside our clinical team and dedicated in-house trainers. You will begin with the fundamentals, gradually building the practical knowledge and confidence needed to become a capable dental assistant.

You will not be expected to work everything out on your own. We invest in our trainees through structured training, patient guidance and plenty of encouragement. Our goal is to help you master your craft and build a rewarding, long-term career with us.

What You Will Learn

You will receive hands-on training in:

• Chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry, working in partnership with the dentist

• Best-practice infection control and sterilisation procedures

• Instrument identification, tray preparation and surgery set-up

• Helping nervous patients feel calm, comfortable and cared for

• Patient records, appointment book management and dental practice software

• The daily rhythm of a busy, well-run dental practice

• Clear, warm and professional communication with patients and colleagues
