Contracts Team Lead

About The Role

As our Contracts Team Lead, you'll provide day-to-day leadership to the Contracts team, balancing people leadership with operational oversight and technical expertise. You'll work closely with the Head of Legal, Compliance & Contracts to ensure the team consistently delivers an outstanding experience to our agents, clients and offices.

You'll be responsible for leading, coaching and developing the team while maintaining high service standards, overseeing workflow and acting as the technical escalation point for complex contract matters.

What You'll Be Doing

Lead and develop the team

Coach, mentor and support a team of Contracts CoordinatorsConduct regular one-on-one meetings and provide ongoing feedbackFoster a collaborative, positive and accountable team cultureManage team performance, leave planning, rostering and timesheet approvalsSupport recruitment, onboarding and induction of new team membersBuild strong relationships with Principals, Sales Directors and Office Leaders across the business

Drive operational excellence

Oversee daily workflow, workload allocation and service deliveryMonitor service levels and proactively resolve operational issuesManage contract-related escalations and provide technical guidanceIdentify opportunities to improve processes, systems and efficiencyMaintain Contracts policies, procedures and best practice documentationSupport portfolio management and provide leave cover when required

Build capability

Develop the technical capability of the Contracts teamDeliver onboarding, compliance and contracts trainingCreate practical learning resources and training materialsProvide guidance to agents and support teams on compliance and contract processesChampion continuous improvement across systems, processes and ways of working

About you

You'll bring extensive conveyancing experience together with a genuine passion for leading people.

Strong residential conveyancing experience, ideally within Queensland real estatePrevious experience leading or mentoring a teamExceptional knowledge of contracts, compliance and settlement processesThe ability to confidently manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environmentExcellent communication and relationship-building skillsA proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvementHigh attention to detail and strong organisational skillsConfidence working across multiple systems and technology platforms
