About the Role

Our client is a VIC government organisation based in the Melbourne CBD. They are currently seeking a VPS4 Financial Operations Officer (Accounts Receivable) to come in and join their team on a 6 month temp contract.

Requirements for this role include:

• Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, commerce, OR CPA/CA qualification

• Proven experience in Accounts Receivable, with some exposure to Accounts Payable

• Previous VPS/government experience (Essential)

Key responsibilities include:

• Financial Operations & Process Control: Maintain and continuously monitor Accounts Receivable, with some Accounts Payable and Cash Management policies to ensure full regulatory compliance.
• Transaction & Invoice Processing: Oversee the accurate and timely processing of all AP and AR invoices and vendor payment runs.
• General Ledger Reconciliation: Perform monthly module reconciliations to ensure AP and AR align perfectly with the general ledger.
• Aged Debt & Collection Administration: Guide program areas through aged debtor monitoring, dunning processes, collections, and debt write-off assessments.
• Banking & Systems Administration: Manage bank accounts, user access, corporate/virtual credit card reconciliations, and the banking interface with Oracle Cloud.
• Cash Flow Management & Forecasting: Execute core Cash Management functions, including cash flow forecasting and liquidity tracking.
