Quality Coordinator
The Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre (Peter Mac) is a Victorian public health service and a world‑leading comprehensive cancer centre, dedicated to excellence across all spheres of clinical care, research and education. We are home to the largest cancer research enterprise in Australia and provide treatment to around 40,000 people with cancer each year. About the team
The Quality team supports Peter Mac to deliver safe, high‑quality and continuously improving care. Working across clinical and non‑clinical services, the team supports quality and risk management systems, incident management, accreditation and consumer participation, partnering with stakeholders to embed best practice and strengthen patient safety and service outcomes.
About the role
The Quality Coordinator plays an important role in supporting quality, safety and accreditation activities across Peter Mac. Working in partnership with clinical and operational teams, you will contribute to the implementation and monitoring of quality systems, lead audits and reviews, and drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance patient safety and service delivery.

Position Summary
The Quality Coordinator works in collaboration with the Quality and Safety unit and Divisional Operations Directors to help lead the quality management program at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre. The key functions of this position are to:
• Coordinate and provide leadership for the quality and risk management program within the division.
• Facilitate continuous improvement and evaluation within a quality framework that is consumer centred, driven by information and organised for safety.
• In partnership with the Quality Systems Manager and Clinical Data and Risk Management Officer, provide consultation and leadership to staff on the implementation of quality and safety frameworks, consumer participation and risk management.
• Provide leadership on specific quality initiatives/projects as allocated.
• Manage and report the ongoing effectiveness of the quality and risk management function:
• Facilitate and lead governance committee meetings and actions associated

1. Coordinate the development and review of the annual divisional quality plan in alignment with the Peter Mac strategic plan and other key plans as appropriate. Including supporting local departments in the development of their annual plans.
2. Assist in preparation and coordination of accreditation processes
3. Coordinate and maintain documentation of quality activities and audits which demonstrate that services standards are met (inclusive of integrated bedside audit tool or equivalent)
4. Provide leadership and education to support continuous improvement, innovation and service excellence. This includes collaboration with; local departments, local managers and quality portfolio holders.
5. Review, manage and post clinical incidents via RiskMan incident reporting database as well as monitor incidents and provide reports to management team on incident trends
