Head bartender

About the role

To assist in the overall smooth, efficient running of The Bathers' Pavilion bars and beverage program. To contribute to cocktail list, provide a pleasant and efficient service to guests and a productive and professional work atmosphere that encourages staff to want to be involved, contribute and accept responsibility. The role includes nights and weekends.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure the full set up and operation of the bar

• Ensure the terrace, lounge, bar, Restaurant and Bistro alcohol service is of the highest standard

• Develop new cocktail drinks and juices

• Help prepare stock inventory at the end of each month

• Ensure our service style is always warm and friendly, never aloof and consistent in all areas of service procedures

• Responsibility for staff training as the need arises

• Be aware of staffing levels, associated wage costs and maximizing efficiency

• Supervisory responsibilities including staff handover on shift change over and closing at the end of the shift and maintaining rosters

• Organization of all aspects of cleaning, stock rotation, mis en place

About you

• Responsible service of alcohol qualification

• Minimum 2 years' experience as a bar tender

• Experience and interest in cocktail mixology

• Good communication with Partners, Management and other staff

• Ensure the meeting and greeting of all customers is spontaneous and friendly

• Ensure guest contact is prompt and appropriate for the style and ambience

• Be a role model in every aspect of performance and seek out opportunities that can assist other staff
