About the role
NT Scaffolds — a leading Territorian-owned scaffolding company — is seeking skilled and motivated Scaffolders to join our team in Darwin, Northern Territory.
This is an opportunity to work across a diverse range of construction, infrastructure, maintenance, commercial and industrial projects throughout the Northern Territory.
As a valued member of our team, you will be responsible for the safe, precise and efficient erection, modification and dismantling of scaffolding structures, helping us deliver high-quality solutions that meet project requirements and client expectations.

Employment Conditions
Full-time, permanent position
Annual base salary of $80,000–$90,000 plus superannuation, depending on qualifications and experience
Paid on a wage basis based on standard full-time hours
Overtime, site allowances and other applicable entitlements may apply
Based in Darwin, Northern Territory
Occasional travel may be required for projects outside the Darwin region
Qualifications and Licensing Requirements
Applicants should hold:
AQF Certificate II or III in Construction, Scaffolding, or an equivalent qualification where applicable
Current High Risk Work Licence – Scaffolding, Basic (SB) or higher
Current White Card / Construction Induction Card
Current Working Safely at Heights certification
Experience and Role Requirements
Minimum of one year of full-time equivalent experience in scaffolding or construction-related work
Demonstrated commitment to workplace health and safety
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Clear communication skills and ability to follow instructions accurately
Physically fit and capable of handling scaffolding materials and working at heights in outdoor conditions
Ability to work independently or under supervision depending on project requirements
Willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical assessment and provide a police clearance if required
Ability to provide verifiable work references
Key Responsibilities
Erect, modify and dismantle scaffolding systems in accordance with project specifications, site requirements and applicable Australian safety standards.
Fit, bolt and secure scaffolding components including tubes, braces, planks, clamps, guardrails, ladders and base structures to create safe and stable access platforms.
Lift, position and assemble scaffold sections and install guardrails, toe boards, guy wires, ropes, safety nets and other safety components as required.
Interpret plans, drawings and verbal instructions to determine scaffolding requirements for individual worksites.
Select, inspect and prepare scaffolding materials and tools, ensuring components are fit for purpose and meet safety requirements.
Conduct inspections of scaffold structures and equipment and identify or report hazards, defects and non-compliance issues.
Follow workplace health and safety procedures, including Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS), Job Hazard Analyses (JHA), risk assessments and fall-protection requirements.
Work collaboratively with supervisors, contractors and other trades to respond to changing project requirements and schedules.
Assist with loading and unloading scaffolding equipment and materials.
Clean, maintain and organise scaffolding equipment, yard areas and worksites.
Assist with inventory management, equipment preparation and stocktakes.
Support less experienced team members where appropriate and contribute to a positive culture of safety, professionalism and teamwork.
