Produce & Retail Team Member

We are looking for a team member with exposure in the grocery space. Previous experience in produce and store closure is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided. You will play a crucial role in our mission to provide customers with a pleasurable shopping experience.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Excellent merchandising skills and or willingness to learn 

• Fresh fruit & vegetable knowledge 

• Quality control, including stock rotation and waste management 

• Adhering to strict quality control measures and food safety standards

• Maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the produce department and surrounding areas

• Collaborating and working with the rest of the team to ensure efficient operation

• Assisting customers in selecting premium products, providing product knowledge and excellent customer service

• Front end/registers service, and closing & cashing up at the end of each day.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a grocery setting.

• Deep knowledge of produce, including seasonal product supplies.

• Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to work autonomously as well as work harmoniously with other team members and take initiative as needed.

• Strong communication skills: Ability to build rapport with both customers and team members.

We are looking for a team member with All-Rounder experience in the grocery industry and/or willingness to learn and grow in the industry.

As s full time employee, your hours will be 9.30 am to 6 pm, 5 days a week (one day will be a weekend shift)
