Mobile & Fixed Plant Operator / General Hand

The WA Salt Group is a leading producer of salt products. We currently have an opportunity for a motivated and experienced Plant Operator / General Hand at our Salt Lake located 500km north east of Perth. This is an exciting opportunity to join this Western Australian family owned business and ensure the continued success and profitability of the Group.

This is a Drive in Drive Out position. A travel allowance is paid when travelling to commence each swing.

The roster is 14 days on 7 days off working 11hr days. The Salt Lake is a remote site located 72km from the nearest township.

Travel home in the afternoon of your last day of swing, travel back to site the morning of your first day of swing. 

The rate will be $50.10 per hour.

The successful candidate will be carrying out a variety of jobs on site including:

Operating a variety of mobile plant, operating and maintain our fixed plant, carrying out a variety of maintenance and general duties.

You will work with our small dedicated team who are motivated and keen to make a difference. In addition to offering exceptional work variety, we are happy to provide on the job training.

 What we are looking for in the individual is: 

• Operating Mobile Plant Experience highly desirable 

• Mechanical experience on mobile plant / fixed plant highly desirable

• HR Truck Licence

• HC Truck Licence – 18 speed road ranger highly desirable

• Safety conscious always

• Very strong work ethic

• Positive can do attitude.

• Must be able to work well in a small team environment.

• Must have a driver's licence and own transport

• Must be self-motivated and proactive

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment medical
