Site Supervisor - Building & Construction

About the role

Reporting to the Construction Manager and working closely with the Projects team, you will take day-to-day ownership of your allocated sites from construction through to completion. This is a hands-on leadership role for an experienced construction professional who knows how to run a site properly, communicate confidently and take ownership of project delivery. You will join Mayfair with an established pipeline of work and step directly into the supervision of two high-end residential projects, while also working across the broader commercial construction portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Managing and coordinating all day-to-day site activities, trades, subcontractors, suppliers and deliveries

• Driving the construction programme and ensuring key milestones are achieved

• Maintaining exceptional standards of workmanship, presentation and quality control

• Reading and interpreting architectural drawings, specifications and construction documentation

• Planning and sequencing works to ensure sites operate efficiently

• Conducting regular site inspections and identifying issues before they impact programme, quality or cost

• Proactively identifying potential delays, variations, risks and construction issues and escalating these early

• Ensuring works are completed in accordance with approved documentation, relevant standards and project requirements

• Maintaining strong WHS standards and ensuring site compliance with Mayfair's safety systems and procedures

• Managing subcontractor performance and maintaining productive relationships with trades and suppliers

About you

• Minimum three years' demonstrated experience as a Site Supervisor

• Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent recognised trade qualification

• Strong practical construction knowledge and carpentry experience

• Demonstrated experience delivering high-quality residential construction; commercial experience will be highly regarded

• Strong ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications and construction documentation

• Sound understanding of construction sequencing, building practices, quality requirements and site safety

• Experience coordinating subcontractors, suppliers and multiple work fronts

• Strong planning, organisation and time-management skills

• Current Australian driver's licence and White Card

• Full Australian working rights
