Work is often hands-on and site-based, with an emphasis on safety, collaboration, and professional standards. Team members are encouraged to contribute ideas, develop their skills, and take pride in transforming outdoor spaces.Role Description The Team Leader is a full-time, hybrid role based in Cairns, QLD, with a mix of on-site work and some work-from-home for planning, coordination, and administrative tasks. Day-to-day responsibilities include supervising crew members on job sites, organizing schedules and resources, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards. The role involves communicating with clients and suppliers, reviewing project plans, and providing clear instructions and feedback to team members. The Team Leader will monitor progress, solve operational issues, maintain accurate records, and support continuous improvement of processes and work practices.Qualifications Demonstrated leadership and team coordination experience, including the ability to motivate, mentor, and support diverse team members.Experience in landscaping, construction, grounds maintenance, or a related field, with hands-on proficiency in site work and use of tools/equipment.Strong organizational and planning skills, including scheduling, resource allocation, and attention to detail in day-to-day operations.Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise professionally with clients, suppliers, and colleagues.Commitment to safe work practices, knowledge of basic workplace health and safety requirements, and readiness to enforce safety standards on site.Basic administrative and digital literacy skills (e.g., email, scheduling tools, simple reporting) to manage documentation and workflow.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, adapt to changing priorities, and meet deadlines in a field-based environment.Valid driver’s license and reliable transport; relevant certificates or trade qualifications in landscaping, horticulture, or construction are an advantage.
