About the role
National Probate and Estates Group is a specialist law firm practising exclusively in wills, estates and succession law. We are seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support our growing Estate Litigation team from our Sydney CBD office.
This is an opportunity to work closely within our close-knit litigation team on a diverse range of Supreme Court matters, including family provision claims, will validity disputes, executor disputes, equitable claims and complex estate litigation.
This is not a traditional secretarial role. We are looking for someone who enjoys taking ownership of the administrative and procedural aspects of litigation, enabling our solicitors to focus on legal strategy, advocacy and achieving outstanding outcomes for our clients.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
A minimum of 2 years' experience as a Litigation Paralegal, Litigation Legal Assistant or in a similar litigation support role.
Experience supporting civil litigation matters, preferably in the Supreme Court.
Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple active matters and competing deadlines.
Exceptional attention to detail and a high standard of written communication.
Confidence preparing legal documents, court books, briefs to counsel, chronologies and other litigation materials.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate professionally with clients, barristers, Court staff and other solicitors.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal practice management software.
Experience in wills and estates litigation will be highly regarded, however applicants with experience in commercial litigation, property litigation, insolvency or other civil litigation practices are encouraged to apply.
