Hydro Excavation Operator – Water & Civil Construction

We are currently looking for an experienced Hydro Excavation Operator to join our team on a full-time basis.

You'll operate one of our modern Hydro Excavation trucks, supporting water and wastewater construction projects across the Southern Metropolitan area.

This is an immediate start and a fantastic opportunity to join a respected civil construction company with long-term work.

• Safe operation of Hydro Excavation (Vac Truck) equipment

• Locating and exposing underground services using non-destructive excavation techniques

• Completing daily pre-start inspections and maintaining a clean, safe and professional vehicle

• Reading and interpreting BYDA (Dial Before You Dig) plans and utility information

• Working safely around live underground services

• Assisting construction crews with general labouring duties when Hydro Vac work is not required

• Maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality and customer service

• HR Truck Licence (minimum)

• White Card (essential)

• Previous Hydro Vac or Vacuum Truck operating experience

• Ability to read and interpret BYDA (Dial Before You Dig) plans

• A positive attitude and strong work ethic

• Commitment to working safely and supporting your team

• Traffic Management ticket

• First Aid Certificate

• Experience working on SA Water or civil construction projects

• Knowledge of underground utility locating and safe excavation practices

• Long-term pipeline of work with a respected SA Water contractor

• Modern Hydro Excavation fleet and equipment
