About the role

The Process Worker (Batching) plays a key role in supporting the production team by preparing raw meat materials, batching ingredients according to recipes, operating processing equipment, transporting bins between production lines, and ensuring that sausages are processed. The role involves manual handling, heavy lifting, and maintaining strict hygiene and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operates in a team to complete set tasks and assist the Supervisor meet daily service level to required standards

• Refers to the Production Schedule to meet daily order as directed by Supervisor

• Ensure food processing equipment is assembled/disassembled and select correct settings for each product or process

• Prepare meat raw materials by trimming before they can be processed into meat cuts

• Operates grinding equipment to mincemeat and raw materials into sausages

• Safely uses a knife and sharpening equipment to cut/trim meat cuts to Customer specifications

• Performs daily process area cleaning to maintain company compliance and hygiene standards

• Reports equipment faults to Supervisor and actively participate in problem solving to rectify issues

About you

• Reliable, punctual, and able to start work at 4:00 AM

• Ability to work on your feet for long periods of time

• Ability to work in a cold environment 7 to 10°C

• Ability to handle weights of 20 to 27 kg / Physically Fit.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle bulk orders

• Willingness to do overtime and flexibility to work to a roster

• Reading English preferred but not essential

• Full working rights in Australia

• Previous experience in food manufacturing or meat processing

• Experience in a batching, production, or manufacturing environment

• Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
