And now, we’re looking for an Assistant Venue Manager ready to step onto the floor, lead from the front and help us make DISUKO one of Melbourne’s must-visit hospitality destinations. 

This isn’t a role for someone who wants to manage from the sidelines.

THE ROLE 

As Assistant Venue Manager, you’ll work closely with the Venue Manager and Restaurant Manager to drive the day-to-day operation of DISUKO. 

You’ll be highly visible on the floor, leading service, coaching the team and making sure the venue delivers the kind of experience guests want to come back for. 

You’ll be responsible for: 

• Leading busy restaurant, event and rooftop services with confidence and energy 

• Supporting, coaching and developing the FOH team 

• Driving exceptional guest experiences from arrival to last drinks 

• Managing floor plans, reservations, sections and service flow 

• Keeping communication sharp between FOH, kitchen, bar and management 

• Supporting rostering, labour management and daily venue operations 

• Maintaining exceptional presentation, compliance and service standards 

• Stepping in, solving problems and keeping the team moving when service gets hectic 

• Helping build a positive, accountable and genuinely fun venue culture 

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR 

You might already be an experienced Assistant Venue Manager, or you could be a gun Supervisor or Restaurant Manager ready for your next move. 

Either way, you’ll know how to command a busy floor without losing the personality that makes hospitality great. 

You’ll bring: 

• Leadership experience in a fast-paced restaurant, bar or high-volume hospitality venue – minimum 2 years 

• Strong floor management and service skills 

• Confidence leading and motivating a diverse team 

• Great communication and a natural ability to connect with guests 

• Strong organisation and the ability to stay composed when things get busy 

• A real-world problem solver 

• Have a hands-on leadership style - you’re happiest in the action with your team 

• Genuine ambition to develop your hospitality career 

• A current RSA
