Project Manager - Sustaining Capital Projects

We are currently seeking experienced Project Managers to join a major gold mining operation, supporting the delivery of a diverse portfolio of sustaining capital projects.

The Opportunity

Working within a client-side project delivery team, you will be responsible for managing capital projects from concept development and funding approval through to execution, commissioning, and operational handover.

This position offers exposure to a broad range of infrastructure, mining, civil and operational improvement projects within an active mining environment. You will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with governance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop project scopes, business cases and execution strategies in collaboration with key stakeholders
• Manage the full project lifecycle from concept development through to completion and handover
• Prepare and maintain project governance documentation, including capital funding and stage-gate approvals
• Coordinate critical approvals and compliance requirements across project delivery
• Utilise SAP systems for procurement, planning, scheduling and project controls
• Manage contractors, consultants and operational interfaces across brownfield mining environments
• Monitor and report project performance across safety, cost, schedule and quality metrics
• Drive stakeholder engagement across operations, maintenance, engineering and leadership teams
• Ensure successful integration of projects into operational environments with minimal disruption to production

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

• Engineering qualification or substantial experience delivering major civil, mining or infrastructure projects
• Proven experience managing sustaining capital projects within mining, resources, heavy industry, infrastructure or construction environments
• Strong understanding of project governance, capital funding processes and stage-gate project delivery frameworks
• Demonstrated experience managing project budgets, forecasting, cost control and schedule performance
• Experience developing business cases and capital funding submissions
• Strong contractor management and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects or work packages concurrently within a live operational environment

• Direct responsibility for project budget and schedule control
• Experience delivering capital projects valued at $5M+ within mining, construction or infrastructure environments
