Lead a busy regional freight depot with a growing transport business

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Depot Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations at our Goondiwindi freight depot.

This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for coordinating freight movements, managing drivers and depot staff, maintaining safety and compliance standards, and ensuring outstanding service to our customers across the region.

About the Role

Reporting directly to management, you will be responsible for:

• Supervising daily depot operations

• Coordinating inbound and outbound freight

• Managing driver schedules and load planning

• Ensuring freight is loaded, unloaded and dispatched efficiently

• Leading and motivating depot staff and drivers

• Maintaining safety, fatigue and compliance requirements

• Monitoring vehicle allocation and utilisation

• Handling customer enquiries and service issues

• Managing depot housekeeping and operational standards

• Assisting with recruitment, training and performance management

About You

To be successful you will have:

• Previous experience in transport, logistics or freight operations

• Prior supervisory or leadership experience

• Strong organizational and planning skills

• Excellent communication and people management abilities

• Sound knowledge of Chain of Responsibility (CoR) requirements

• Strong safety focus and attention to detail

• Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment

• Competent computer skills across Microsoft Office and transport systems

Highly Regarded

• HR, HC or MC licence

• Forklift licence

• Experience in general freight operations

• Knowledge of NHVR compliance requirements
