Online sales assistance

Georges is looking for enthusiastic team members to join us at our George Street, Sydney CBD and Chatswood retail locations.

We are currently hiring for two distinct roles:

1. Live Chat Sales & Customer Service

2. Retail Shop Sales & Customer Service

Both positions suit people who enjoy helping customers, have a genuine interest in cameras and creative technology, and take pride in providing accurate, thoughtful service.

At Georges, we want every customer to feel heard, respected and confident in their purchase. In either position, you will be expected to:

• Provide friendly, knowledgeable and honest advice

• Develop a strong understanding of cameras, lenses and related equipment

• Recommend products based on each customer’s needs

• Follow up enquiries, orders and assigned tasks reliably

• Communicate clearly with customers and colleagues

• Work accurately with strong attention to detail

• Take ownership of problems and see them through to completion

• Contribute to a supportive, professional and customer-focused team

Previous camera retail experience is helpful, but attitude, reliability and a willingness to learn are just as important.

You will assist customers through our online live chat and other digital channels. This role requires excellent written communication, the ability to manage multiple enquiries efficiently, and the confidence to provide clear product advice online.

You will answer product and order questions, recommend suitable equipment, follow up customer enquiries and work with other departments to resolve issues. Strong typing skills, accuracy and organisation are essential.

You will work directly with customers in one of our retail shops, helping them understand, compare and select the right equipment.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys speaking with people, demonstrating products and creating a welcoming retail experience. You will also help maintain the shop’s presentation, assist with everyday retail tasks, and follow up customer requests and orders.
