Business Development Manager

We're looking for an ambitious and proactive sales professional to join our South Australia team. Reporting to the State Sales Manager, you'll be responsible for growing Haymes Paint's presence across Adelaide Metro and regional South Australia, including Yorke Peninsula, Eyre Peninsula, Riverland and Mildura.

In this role, you'll work closely with an established customer base while actively identifying opportunities to bring new customers to the Haymes Paint family. Through a combination of relationship building, customer service excellence and strategic territory planning, you'll help customers achieve successful project outcomes while driving sustainable growth across your region.

What You'll Be Doing

• Manage and grow customer relationships across South Australia.
• Drive sales growth through both existing accounts and new business opportunities.
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of sales opportunities.
• Conduct regular customer visits and provide outstanding service and support.
• Promote Haymes Paint products and solutions across trade and commercial customers.
• Prepare and negotiate proposals to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
• Collaborate with customers, distributors, and internal teams to deliver successful projects.
• Monitor market trends, customer activity, and business opportunities.
• Maintain accurate customer and sales records in the CRM system.

About You

• Proven experience in sales, account management, territory management, or business development.
• Strong ability to build relationships and identify growth opportunities.
• Skilled in communication, negotiation, and influencing outcomes.
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage a territory and prioritise activities effectively.
• Experience using CRM systems to manage customers and opportunities.
• Commercially minded with a strong customer focus.
• Experience in paint, coatings, construction, building products, or trade industries is highly regarded.
• Hold a current unrestricted driver's licence.
