Fabricator Welder

Acromat, Australia's leading manufacturer of sporting equipment and retractable tiered seating requires structural steel fabricators.

This full time role presents as a wonderful opportunity for a person to continue their manufacturing career with a stable and successful employer. You will:

• Have a manufacturing background in light steel fabrication;

• Be able to work from drawings with minimal supervision;

• Preferably be trade qualified but  if not, you do have significant and similar fabrication experience;

• Supply own steel cap work boots and appropriate clothes;

• Supply own hand tools - list will be supplied

Duties include:

• Interpreting drawings and reading and understanding all instructions before starting each job;

• At all times using supplied PPE. Keeping work stations clean, tidy and safe;

• Fabricating and assembling parts. Welding parts together and metal finishing as specified. Attaching fittings and completing the product build. Cleaning the product and completing final quality checks against specifications;

• Assisting team members in other sections as directed.

• You will be a 'good fit' if you are a self motivated, hard working, 'hands on' team oriented production worker with practical problem solving skills.

Working hours are Monday to Friday 7.30am to 4.12pm with an RDO and you must be able to work afternoon shifts, overtime and Saturdays on an 'as required' basis to meet production needs.
