About the role

We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Chef/Cook to join our kitchen team on a casual basis. This is a perfect opportunity for someone looking for flexible work in a friendly, community-focused environment. Based in Nerang QLD 4211, you will play a key role in preparing and delivering high-quality meals that delight our members and guests. This casual position allows you to work at a pace that suits your lifestyle whilst contributing to the culinary success of our club.

What you'll be doing

Preparing and cooking a variety of dishes in accordance with approved recipes and culinary standards

• Maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, and taste consistency

• Operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently

• Following all food safety and hygiene regulations, including proper food handling and storage procedures

• Working collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service

• Keeping the kitchen organised, clean, and well-maintained at all times

• Responding to special dietary requirements and customer requests where possible

• Contributing creative ideas to enhance our menu offerings

• What we're looking for
  

• Immediate Start

• Proven experience as a Chef/Cook in a hospitality or foodservice environment

• Solid knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods

• Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards

• Ability to work efficiently under pressure whilst maintaining quality

• Excellent organisational and time-management skills

• A collaborative and positive attitude with strong communication skills

• Physical fitness and ability to stand for extended periods in a fast-paced kitchen environment

• Flexibility to work various shifts as required

• Relevant food handling or hospitality certification is advantageous

• A genuine passion for delivering quality food and excellent service
