About the role
We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Chef/Cook to join our kitchen team on a casual basis. This is a perfect opportunity for someone looking for flexible work in a friendly, community-focused environment. Based in Nerang QLD 4211, you will play a key role in preparing and delivering high-quality meals that delight our members and guests. This casual position allows you to work at a pace that suits your lifestyle whilst contributing to the culinary success of our club.
What you'll be doing
Preparing and cooking a variety of dishes in accordance with approved recipes and culinary standards
Maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, and taste consistency
Operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
Following all food safety and hygiene regulations, including proper food handling and storage procedures
Working collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service
Keeping the kitchen organised, clean, and well-maintained at all times
Responding to special dietary requirements and customer requests where possible
Contributing creative ideas to enhance our menu offerings
What we're looking for
Immediate Start
Proven experience as a Chef/Cook in a hospitality or foodservice environment
Solid knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods
Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
Ability to work efficiently under pressure whilst maintaining quality
Excellent organisational and time-management skills
A collaborative and positive attitude with strong communication skills
Physical fitness and ability to stand for extended periods in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Flexibility to work various shifts as required
Relevant food handling or hospitality certification is advantageous
A genuine passion for delivering quality food and excellent service
