Finance Operations and Compliance Manager (Remote opportunity)

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Co-founder, you are responsible for establishing and overseeing operational finance processes of two international entities. You are the central coordination point for finance, compliance, treasury, vendor management, and corporate governance activities.

1. Banking, Treasury and Intercompany Management:

• Manage Group banking relationships, treasury activities, and foreign exchange requirements
• Prepare treasury reports and oversee banking documentation and account maintenance.

• Coordinate intercompany transactions between entities.
• Manage routine banking administration, approved payment and treasury processes
• Prepare regular management reports covering treasury, compliance, and intercompany balances

2. Compliance Administration:

• Manage Group compliance requirements, including regulatory deadlines, compliance records and documentation, and escalation of potential risks or breaches to management.

3. Vendor & Contract Management:

• Establish best practice vendor and contract management processes
• Manage vendor onboarding, due diligence, administration, and approved vendor registers.
• Manage vendor onboarding, contracts, terms, renewals, termination dates, negotiation and administration
• Monitor vendor performance and service delivery, coordinate insurance renewals and related vendor arrangements

4. Corporate Administration:

• Establish best practice corporate administration processes
• Manage corporate governance and entity administration, including corporate records, registers, filings and company secretarial requirements.
• Prepare regular management reports covering compliance and insurance

5. External Adviser Coordination:

• Act as the primary operational contact for external advisers, coordinating communications, actions, and follow-up requirements.
• Manage and prepare documentation required to support tax, legal, and compliance matters.

6. Process Improvement & Controls:

• Develop, document, and maintain finance operations procedures, including the Finance & Operations Manual.
• Drive process automation and efficiency improvements and strengthen operational controls and governance processes.
• Support the implementation and maintenance of approval matrices and delegated authorities.

• 15 + years of corporate work experience
• 10+ years of experience in finance operations, financial administration, treasury, compliance, or a similar role.
• Proven experience in finance operations across multiple entities and jurisdictions
• Experience working with multiple currencies and exchange rates
• Strong practical experience with banking administration, treasury processes, payments, and cash management.
• Strong understanding of internal controls, approval processes, governance, and delegated authorities.
• Working knowledge of financial compliance, regulatory requirements, and corporate administration.
• Experience in end-to-end vendor management
• Experience coordinating with external accounting, tax, legal, insurance, and other professional advisers.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and improve finance processes, procedures, controls, and reporting.
• Strong management reporting and analytical skills, with the ability to identify discrepancies, risks, and potential compliance issues.

Hours & Location: 

• Remote role (work from home) 
• Monday to Friday
• Working hours: 10:30 am – 7:30 pm IST
