We operate from a modern, clean and fully equipped workshop and pride ourselves on quality workmanship, honest service and a strong team environment.
We are looking for an experienced Roadworthy Certificate (RWC) Tester & Qualified Mechanic to join our team.
About the Role
This is a hands-on role combining Roadworthy Certificate inspections with general mechanical servicing, maintenance and repairs.
You will be responsible for conducting RWC inspections accurately and in accordance with Victorian requirements, identifying and completing required repairs, and supporting the broader workshop with general mechanical work.
Key responsibilities include:
Conduct Roadworthy Certificate inspections in accordance with applicable Victorian standards and testing requirements
Complete RWC documentation, defect reports and required submissions accurately and efficiently
Diagnose and complete repairs required to achieve roadworthy compliance
Perform general servicing, maintenance and mechanical repairs across a wide range of vehicles
Identify additional maintenance or repair requirements and communicate recommendations clearly
Conduct road tests, safety checks and pre-delivery inspections
Maintain accurate job records, including work completed and parts used
Maintain a high standard of workmanship, safety and professionalism
Keep workshop equipment and work areas clean, safe and organised
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology
Current accreditation and competency to conduct Roadworthy Certificate inspections
Strong knowledge of roadworthy standards, inspection requirements and compliance obligations
Demonstrated experience in general vehicle servicing, diagnostics and repairs
Strong attention to detail and sound professional judgement
A commitment to quality workmanship and vehicle safety
Good communication and organisational skills
The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
