About the role
Ready to move beyond a typical in-house HR role? At Master Builders, you’ll step into a consulting-style advisory role supporting more than 10,000 members across Queensland’s building and construction industry.
Instead of owning every internal HR outcome, you’ll focus on advising, problem-solving and helping employers navigate real workplace relations challenges with confidence.
No two businesses, questions or workplace issues will be the same. From award interpretation and classifications to performance management, termination risks and consultation obligations, you’ll coach and support members through a wide range of matters that most in-house roles simply can’t offer.
What you will bring to the team
While full training and support will be provided, you’ll bring the confidence, judgement and practical experience to provide clear advice. You’ll understand how to apply employment legislation and industrial instruments to real-world workplace issues.
Why join Master Builders?
It’s our brand – established in 1882 and with more than 10,000 members, we represent some of Australia’s largest and most successful builders. Our 9 offices are home to over 130 staff across the State, who seek to influence positive change and provide support to our members across a variety of disciplines including workplace health and safety, technical, contract management and industrial relations.
In return we aim to be ‘more than just a job’. Providing that balance between work and life, you can look forward to enjoying:
If you enjoy solving workplace relations issues, supporting diverse businesses and growing your ER/IR expertise, this could be the role for you. Please submit a resume and cover letter outlining why you’re the right fit for the role.
