The Office of the 24-Hour Economy Commissioner is seeking a Policy & Project Officer to support the development and delivery of initiatives that strengthen NSW's nighttime economy.

In this role, you'll bring together policy, research, stakeholder engagement and project management to help create thriving and well-coordinated nighttime precincts. You'll work with a diverse range of stakeholders, including hospitality, retail and small businesses, councils and cultural organisations, providing practical policy advice and supporting initiatives that make a difference to communities and businesses.

What you'll do
Research and analyse policy issues, options and data to support evidence-based decision making.Develop clear policy advice, briefs, discussion papers and submissions for a range of audiences.Support policy development and implementation from research through to delivery and evaluation.Build strong relationships with businesses, councils, cultural organisations and other key stakeholders.Coordinate working groups, committees and stakeholder consultations.Monitor emerging and contentious issues and provide advice on their potential impacts.Support reporting, monitoring and evaluation to measure policy outcomes and inform future initiatives.For any role specific questions, please reach out to Julie Prentice, Associate Director Policy via Julie.Prentice@24houreconomy.nsw.gov.au

About You

We're looking for someone with:
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field and/or equivalent professional experience.Experience in policy development, including preparing materials for Cabinet and Parliament.Strong research, analytical and written communication skills.Experience working with multiple stakeholders and managing competing priorities.The ability to translate complex information into clear, practical advice.Strong project coordination and stakeholder engagement skills.Experience in planning, local government and/or liquor licensing will be highly regarded.How to Apply!
