Our hotel features 90 premium guest rooms, six versatile conference and event spaces, Plates Restaurant, Chester's Bar and a resort-style pool creating a diverse and fast-paced operation that caters to corporate, leisure, conference and local guests alike.

We are looking for an ambitious and passionate Food & Beverage Manager to lead our food and beverage team and take ownership of a key department within the business. This is an exciting opportunity for an emerging hospitality leader who is ready to step into a senior management role, drive performance, elevate guest experiences and leave their mark on a well-established Brisbane hotel.

About the position:

Reporting directly to the General Manager you will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership and strategic direction of the Food & Beverage department across Plates Restaurant, Chester's Bar, breakfast operations, in-room dining and conference & event catering.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on leadership environment and enjoys balancing exceptional guest service with strong commercial performance.

You will have the opportunity to:

• Work closely with the Executive Chef and Conference & Events team to deliver exceptional events and dining experiences.

You are a motivated hospitality professional with a passion for service excellence and a strong understanding of commercial operations.

You will bring:

• Previous leadership experience within a hotel, restaurant, club or hospitality environment.

• A hands-on management style and a willingness to lead from the front.

• Strong financial acumen with experience managing labour costs, stock control and departmental profitability.

• Excellent communication and team development skills.

• A proven ability to create positive workplace culture and drive team performance.

• Exceptional organisational and time management skills.

• Current RSA and RMLV certifications.

• First Aid and CPR certification (desirable).

• Lead all Food & Beverage operations to ensure exceptional guest experiences.

• Drive revenue growth, profitability and departmental performance.

• Manage labour, inventory, purchasing and cost control processes.

• Recruit, train, coach and develop team members.

• Foster a culture of accountability, engagement and continuous improvement.

• Collaborate with the Conference & Events team to deliver successful functions, meetings and special events.

• Maintain high standards of food safety, workplace health and safety, and compliance.

• Monitor guest feedback and implement initiatives to continuously improve service delivery.

• Lead by example through a visible and hands-on management approach.
