About the Role
Based in Darwin, you will work closely with leaders and employees across Miwatj to provide expert advice and support on all aspects of Work Health & Safety (WHS). You'll play a key role in implementing WHS systems, improving safety practices, supporting risk management, and ensuring compliance across our East Arnhem operations.
What You'll Do
Support the implementation and continuous improvement of Miwatj's WHS Management System.
Conduct risk assessments and assist with hazard identification and mitigation.
Coordinate incident reporting, investigations and corrective actions.
Deliver WHS inductions, training and awareness sessions.
Support workers' compensation and return-to-work programs.
Prepare WHS reports, analyse trends and support compliance audits.
Build strong relationships with managers and staff to promote a positive safety culture
What You'll Bring
We're looking for someone who has:
Experience in a WHS advisory or coordination role.
Experience with incident investigations, risk management and WHS compliance.
Experience supporting workers' compensation and return-to-work programs.
Confidence delivering training and engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
A Certificate IV or Diploma in Work Health & Safety (or a related discipline).
A sound understanding of WHS legislation and risk management principles.
Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
Experience working in healthcare, Aboriginal Community Controlled organisations or remote environments is highly regarded.
