Senior Pattern Maker & Seamstress

We're partnering with a globally recognised Australian bridal brand to appoint a Senior Pattern Maker & Bridal Seamstress to join its in-house design team.

Working closely with the Lead Designer, you'll play a pivotal role in bringing each new collection to life. From first patterns and toiles through to fittings, garment construction and final samples, you'll combine exceptional technical expertise with meticulous craftsmanship to create beautifully constructed bridal gowns worn by brides around the world.

This is a highly hands-on role suited to someone who genuinely loves the technical side of garment creation. You'll thrive in a collaborative design environment where quality, fit and beautiful construction are at the heart of everything.

The Opportunity
As a key member of the design team, you will:

• Partner with the Lead Designer to develop new bridal collections from concept through to finished sample.
• Create first patterns, toiles and production-ready patterns from sketches and design briefs.
• Refine patterns through fittings, alterations and fit corrections across multiple sizes.
• Construct luxury bridal samples with exceptional attention to detail and finish.
• Develop internal garment structures including corsetry, boning, draping and support systems.
• Work across premium fabrics including lace, Mikado, satin, tulle, organza and other structured textiles.
• Maintain accurate pattern documentation, technical notes and garment specifications.
• Solve technical construction challenges and continually improve fit and garment quality.
• Collaborate closely with the wider design team to ensure every sample reflects the brand's premium standards.

You're a fit if you...

• Bring 5+ years' experience as a Pattern Maker, Bridal Seamstress or similar within bridal, couture, luxury womenswear, eveningwear, costume design or bespoke garment creation.
• Have advanced manual pattern-making skills, with digital pattern-making experience viewed favourably.
• Possess exceptional garment construction, draping and fitting expertise.
• Have experience creating structured garments including corsetry, boning and complex internal construction.
• Can confidently translate design concepts into beautifully executed garments.
• Have an exceptional eye for detail, fit and craftsmanship.
• Enjoy collaborating with designers while confidently managing your own workload.
• Are organised, solutions-focused and passionate about creating garments of the highest quality.
