Senior Stylist / Men's Hairdresser - Full Time

About Sonder Men's GroomingSonder Men's Grooming is a premium men's barbershop group with eight locations across Sydney and Melbourne. Our Mona Vale studio is a high-volume shop with an established client base, a spacious modern fit-out, and a strong team culture built on training and consistency.
The RoleWe are seeking an experienced senior-level barber / men's hairdresser to join our Mona Vale team. Your responsibilities will include:
Performing the full range of men's haircutting services on the shop floor five days per week, including all clipper work, fades, scissor cuts, layering and graduation, and beard trimming and shapingConsulting with clients to assess hair type, condition and desired style, and providing tailored recommendationsDelivering services to Sonder's documented standards for haircutting, customer service and operationsRecommending and advising on suitable hair care and styling productsMaintaining tools, workstation hygiene and salon presentation to professional standardsAttending and contributing to weekly staff training sessions and completing the Sonder online education programSupporting and mentoring junior team members as part of the senior role
RequirementsCertificate III in Barbering or Hairdressing (or equivalent qualification), or at least 3 years of relevant industry experienceMinimum 2 years' experience working in the barbering / men's hairdressing industryDemonstrated competence across all clipper haircuts, fades, and scissor cutting including layering and graduationStrong foundation in haircutting theory and fundamentalsAbility to work effectively in a team environmentA positive attitude and a commitment to ongoing learning and improvementWillingness to contribute actively to Sonder's team culture, uplifting and supporting fellow team members with a mindset of continuous personal and professional developmentFull Australian working rights, or eligibility to work in Australia
