The company values safety, teamwork, and a strong work ethic, offering opportunities to develop practical horticultural skills and growth within the nursery industry.Role Description The Nurseryhands role is a full-time, on-site position based at our Park Ridge QLD nursery. Day-to-day tasks include potting and planting, watering, fertilizing, and general care of plants to ensure healthy growth. The role involves tubing/potting plants, sticking cuttings, maintaining nursery cleanliness, organizing stock, assisting with loading and unloading deliveries, and preparing plants for orders and dispatch. Nurseryhands may support basic pest and disease monitoring, help set up shade houses or growing areas, and follow all workplace health and safety guidelines. This is a practical, physically active role that requires working outdoors in varying weather conditions and collaborating closely with the nursery team.QualificationsPractical horticulture or plant care skills, including basic knowledge of watering, potting, and general plant maintenance.Ability to perform manual labor, such as lifting, carrying, bending, and working on feet for extended periods in outdoor conditions.Strong attention to detail, reliability, and ability to follow instructions and established nursery procedures.Good teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work respectfully with diverse colleagues and supervisors.Basic understanding of workplace health and safety practices in an agricultural or nursery environment.Willingness to learn new techniques, adapt to seasonal workload changes, and take initiative in daily tasks.Previous experience in a nursery, farming, landscaping, or similar outdoor work is beneficial but not essential.Driver’s license and reliable transport to Park Ridge, QLD, are highly advantageous.
