We’re looking for a reliable and motivated Air Conditioning Installation Trade Assistant to join our close-knit team. This full-time position offers hands-on experience, ongoing training and genuine opportunities to develop your skills within the air conditioning industry.

About the role

Working alongside our experienced installation team, you will:

• Assist with the preparation and installation of ducted and split-system air conditioning systems

• Prepare equipment, materials, tools and system components

• Support tradespeople across residential installation projects

• Communicate professionally with customers, builders and other trades

• Help maintain clean, safe and organised work areas

• Learn and apply practical air conditioning and installation knowledge

• Complete work carefully and to AFA Air’s high standards

• Punctual, honest and dependable

• Self-motivated with a positive attitude

• Practical, organised and willing to learn

• A clear and respectful communicator

• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team

• Committed to quality workmanship and safe work practices

• Professional and respectful when working in customers’ homes and on building sites

Qualifications and experience

• A current driver’s licence is essential

• A White Card is desirable

• Previous air conditioning, construction or trade-assistant experience would be an advantage, but is not essential

• A strong work ethic and willingness to learn are highly valued
