What we are looking for:

We’re looking for a GIS specialist to join our Assets & Spatial team. You’ll play a pivotal role in supporting the delivery of Council’s GIS and spatial analysis services, with a focus on supporting our Strategic Planning team.

What your day will look like:

• Conducting GIS research and analysis
• Developing, implementing and maintaining GIS data
• Identifying business improvement opportunities and developing proposals
• Supporting internal clients on strategic, technical and procedural issues
• Undertaking audits and ensuring relevant documentation is accurate

What you’ll need for success:

• Significant experience in a similar role across analysis, problem resolution and GIS process design
• A high level of spatial software skills with the ability to pick up new systems with ease
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to relate to people with varying levels of knowledge

What’s nice to have:

• Experience in local government
• Experience producing planning scheme maps
