About the role
The Restaurant Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Chermside, QLD. This role oversees day-to-day restaurant operations, including supervising front-of-house and back-of-house teams, managing staff schedules, and ensuring smooth service during all trading hours. The Restaurant Manager is responsible for maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene, as well as monitoring inventory, coordinating orders with suppliers, and controlling costs.
Key responsibilities
Supervise front-of-house and back-of-house teams
Manage staff schedules
Ensure smooth service during all trading hours
Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene
Monitor inventory and coordinate orders with suppliers
Control costs
Support team members on the floor
Respond to customer feedback
Handle reservations and walk-ins
Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements
About you
Strong focus on Customer Satisfaction and Customer Service, with the ability to resolve issues promptly and maintain positive guest relationships
Experience in Hiring and people management, including training, scheduling, and performance oversight for diverse teams
Excellent Communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively between front-of-house, kitchen staff, and management
Solid knowledge of Food & Beverage operations, including menu understanding, food safety standards, and quality control
Proven experience in restaurant or hospitality management, ideally in a similar fast-paced environment
Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and a hands-on approach to problem-solving
Understanding of basic budgeting, cost control, and inventory management practices
Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required
