We're working with a high regarded professional services organisation is looking for a Desktop Support Analyst to join their Sydney IT Services team.
This is a hands-on second level support role in a busy corporate environment. You will be the face of IT for the business, working across desktop, mobile and AV, with real ownership of the tickets you pick up. The team is small, collaborative and takes the user experience seriously, from the boardroom down to the desk.
You will work a rotating shift roster covering extended business hours, and take part in a national after hours on call roster.
What you will be doingFrontline technical support face to face, over the phone and through the service management platform, owning incidents and requests end to endResolving tickets within agreed service levels and keeping users updated along the wayManaging end user devices, including allocation, asset tracking and lifecycleAudio Visual support across meeting rooms and event spaces, setting up and testing gear ahead of timeProviding live support during meetings and events so nothing falls over on the dayWorking with the infrastructure and wider IT teams on AV solutions and service improvements
What you will bringSolid experience supporting a Windows desktop environment, covering PCs, laptops, printers, mobile devices, remote access and peripheralsHands-on Audio Visual support experience in a corporate setting, including meeting room technology, video conferencing platforms, displays, microphones and presentation equipment, and the confidence to support senior stakeholders live in the roomWorking knowledge of VoIP, mobile and internet technologiesExposure to network and server systems, including switches, routers and patch panelsAn understanding of ITIL and change management processesThe ability to explain technical concepts in plain language to non technical peopleA proactive, self starting approach and sound problem solving abilityCalm under pressure, with the ability to juggle competing priorities
