Manager, Business Growth & Performance

Archerfield Airport is entering a defining period of transformation, backed by significant infrastructure investment and a clear vision for the future of aviation in South‑East Queensland. We are now seeking a Manager, Business Growth & Performance — a hands on, commercially minded leader who will shape the next era of aviation growth at Archerfield Airport.

Reporting into the General Manager of Aviation Operations, this is an exciting, multidisciplinary role at the centre of our aviation business portfolio. You will lead customer engagement, business intelligence, commercial strategy and aviation revenue growth initiatives that strengthen the airport’s performance today and position us for the opportunities of tomorrow.

As the airport evolves, this role becomes pivotal in executing on our commercial direction, building new industry partnerships, developing aviation products and services, and ensuring our business systems and analytics support high‑quality decision‑making. You will influence how the airport grows, how we engage with customers, and how emerging aviation technologies integrate into our future operations.

Key Responsibilities

Revenue Growth & Strategy

Lead the development and delivery of the Aviation Strategy. Identify and progress growth opportunities, build industry networks, research emerging technologies and develop a pipeline of future aviation initiatives that optimises the value and contribution of the airport.

Customer Engagement & Market Intelligence

Build and maintain strong customer relationships. Lead customer engagement programs, represent the airport at industry events and develop market insights that inform strategic decision‑making.

Prepare business cases, Board papers and investment proposals. Undertake financial modelling, forecasting and commercial analysis. Develop KPI frameworks, performance reporting and support pricing and product reviews.

Business Intelligence & Systems Improvement

Lead the aviation billing, analytics and business intelligence function. Drive system improvements that enhance efficiency, functionality and commercial performance across the aviation business.

About You

You’re commercially astute, analytically strong and great at getting things done. .  You have an exceptional eye for detail but simultaneously the ability to keep the big picture in view.  With well established financial and analytics skills you can independently build business cases, manage projects, derive sophisticated insights from data and cultivate strong customer relationships.  Your prior aviation industry experience and existing network are well regarded.  You’re curious about emerging aviation technologies and motivated by the opportunity to help shape a growing airport.  You have an appreciation for the important role of general aviation and enjoy a diverse operating environment.

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in Business, Commerce or similar, or equivalent experience.

• Strong financial analysis, data and commercial modelling capability.

• Experience within the aviation industry regarded favourably.

• Awareness of emerging aviation technologies and industry developments.
