Synergie Australia is seeking an APS6 Clinician for a labour hire opportunity based in Melbourne, VIC.

This is a telephone-based clinical role supporting veterans and their families through intake, assessment, triage, brief intervention and referral services.

• Pay: $67-76 per hour + Super
• Term: 24 months
• Location: Melbourne, VIC
• Candidates must be Australian citizens 

What you will be required to do:

You will provide high-quality telephone-based clinical services in a rostered environment, supporting eligible clients with responsive intake, risk assessment, brief intervention and referrals. The role may include flexible working arrangements once training and proficiency requirements are met.

• Provide telephone-based intake, assessment, triage and referral support
• Deliver brief clinical interventions and immediate mental health support
• Conduct risk assessments and apply appropriate call containment strategies
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with required templates and policies
• Work collaboratively within a 24/7 rostered service environment
• Engage in coaching, supervision and ongoing professional development

To be successful in the role you will:

• Hold relevant registration or membership, such as AHPRA, AASW, PACFA or ACA Level 3/4
• Bring strong experience in mental health, counselling, intake, triage or crisis support
• Demonstrate trauma-informed, client-centred practice
• Apply sound judgement when responding to vulnerable clients and critical incidents
• Communicate clearly and maintain high-quality written clinical records
• Be an Australian citizen and able to obtain required checks and clearance

Highly regarded:

• Experience delivering telehealth, phone-based counselling or crisis support
• Experience supporting veterans, defence personnel or their families
• Strong understanding of referral pathways, mental health services and risk management
