About this opportunity
Reporting to the Manager, Strategy and Risk, this role contributes to the development and implementation of regulatory priorities that support the VEC's electoral integrity functions. The role plays an important part in identifying, assessing and managing regulatory risks, delivering strategic projects and supporting evidence-based decision making to strengthen compliance across Victoria's political funding, disclosure and registration framework.
About the team
The Strategy and Risk team sits within the Electoral Integrity and Regulation Branch and supports the VEC's regulatory functions through strategic planning, risk management, analysis and performance reporting. The team works closely with regulatory services, data and insights, and other internal stakeholders to identify regulatory priorities, monitor emerging risks and drive continuous improvement.
A day in the life of an Advisor, Strategy and Risk
You will analyse regulatory risks and trends, work with data and operational teams to identify priority issues, and contribute to projects that support the VEC's regulatory objectives. You will help develop reports, briefings and strategic advice for senior leaders, ensuring decisions are informed by sound evidence and analysis.
Working across a range of initiatives, you will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, support the delivery and evaluation of regulatory priority projects, and contribute to business continuity, planning and continuous improvement activities within the Strategy and Risk team.
