Lead the NLC's media and communications function and help amplify the voices, priorities and achievements of Traditional Owners and Aboriginal people across the Top End.
About the role
The Media and Communications Manager leads a small team to deliver high-quality, culturally informed communications that represents the NLC and its constituents. You will implement the NLC's Media and Communications Strategy, advance NLC engagement with constituents and stakeholders, strengthen the organisation's public profile and ensure content is informative and authentic to the communities we serve.
Reporting to the General Manager Governance Strategy and Communications you will provide trusted strategic advice to the CEO, Chair and internal service areas on media, communications and engagement. You will oversee media relations, publications, social media, web content, branding and internal communications, while supporting effective stakeholder relationships, sound governance and strong team performance.
What you will bring
You are an experienced communications leader who combines sound judgement, political awareness and exceptional writing skills with a practical, people-centred approach. You can set strategy, respond confidently in a fast-moving media environment and work respectfully across cultures to turn complex issues into clear and compelling communications.
