Supply Chain & Logistics Coordinator

We are looking for a Supply Chain & Logistics Coordinator to work in a 3:2 hybrid role based in Bondi Junction, Sydney within the team at Every Bite Counts.

Position Summary

The Logistics & Supply Chain Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the movement of goods from suppliers through to customers while ensuring accurate documentation, timely shipment execution, cost control, and exceptional customer service.

This role works closely with suppliers, freight forwarders, warehouses, customers, and internal stakeholders to deliver an efficient and reliable supply chain operation. In addition to logistics coordination, the role contributes to broader supply chain activities, process improvements, and operational projects as required.

Key Responsibilities
Logistics & Freight Coordination

·      Obtain and evaluate freight quotations.

·      Coordinate shipment bookings across multiple destinations.

·      Liaise with freight forwarders, carriers, warehouses, and suppliers.

·      Monitor shipment progress and proactively manage delays and risks.

·      Ensure achievement of customer delivery requirements and deadlines.

Documentation & Compliance

·      Review shipping documentation for completeness and accuracy.

·      Coordinate Bills of Lading, Packing Lists, Certificates of Origin, declarations, and other trade documentation.

·      Prepare shipping instructions and maintain accurate filing systems.

·      Support import, export, and cross-dock shipments.

Customer & Stakeholder Communication

·      Provide shipment updates and status reporting.

·      Respond to logistics-related customer enquiries.

·      Maintain shipment tracking tools and reporting.

·      Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Cost & Performance Management

·      Monitor freight costs and identify opportunities for savings.

·      Manage detention, demurrage, and related logistics expenses.

·      Support operational reporting and performance monitoring.

Continuous Improvement

·      Identify and implement process improvements.

·      Support projects across logistics, inventory, customer service, and wider supply chain operations.

·      Provide operational support across other functions when required.
