This is a Fixed Term Part Time appointment at 60.8 hours (0.8 FTE) per fortnight from 15/03/2027 until 10/10/2027, with the possibility of extension(s).
Position Profile: The Nurse Practitioner provides a clinical service in collaboration with other health professionals to diagnose, treat and manage a patient’s health status in accordance with National legislation. The Nurse Practitioner performs advanced physical assessment, orders diagnostic tests, interprets the results of these tests, initiates referrals to relevant health providers, and prescribes appropriate medications and other therapies as needed. The Nurse Practitioner provides clinical leadership as appropriate. The Nurse Practitioner practices within their scope of practice considerate of the Nursing and Midwifery Board’s Nursing Practice Decision Flowchart.

•The required
work days are Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays.
•Strong clinical
experience in general dermatology with a passionate focus on
advanced atopic dermatitis management.
•Lead advanced
clinical assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans for paediatric
patients with diverse skin conditions, specialising in atopic
dermatitis.
•Provide eczema
education to families and educate staff about ways to optimise
management of atopic dermatitis.
•Empower parents
and caregivers with practical skills, including wet dressing
techniques and topical regimen management.
•Work closely
with multidisciplinary teams, including dermatologists,
paediatricians, immunologists, and GPs, to optimise patient
outcomes

Whilst this selection
process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy,
applicants found suitable for this position may be considered for
other ‘similar’ vacancies within CAHS and/or the wider WA public
sector. In addition to this, should the successful applicant
decline or vacate the advertised vacancy, then the next most
suitable applicant may also be selected from this process. Both of
these options remain valid for a period of twelve (12) months from
when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment
decision.
