CNC Machinist/Programmer

Key Responsibilities

• Program, Set Up & Operate: Write, modify, and optimize programs using coversational Siemens controls (Sinumerik) for CNC Lathes.
• Machining Operations: Manufacture high-precision components directly from technical engineering drawings to precise tolerances.
• Tooling & Setup: Select appropriate tooling, speeds, feeds, and work-holding fixtures for maximum production efficiency.
• Quality Assurance: Inspect finished parts using standard precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges) to ensure compliance.
• Workshop Standards: Maintain a safe, clean workplace and participate in team continuous improvement efforts.

What We Are Looking For

• Trade Qualified: Australian Recognized Trade Certificate (Fitter & Turner, Machinist, or equivalent qualification).
• Siemens Controller Experience: Proven track record programming, setting, and operating CNC Lathes using Siemens G-code / Sinumerik controls.
• Blueprint Reading: Strong ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and GD&T specifications.
• Detail-Oriented: A strong commitment to precision, job safety, and high-quality workmanship.
