Graphic Design Assistant

About the role

An entry level Graphic Designer position supporting the design and marketing staff by providing clients with Artwork Approval documentation, Mock Up images and ensuring artwork files are saved in the correct format for Production. You will have direct communication with the Sales team regarding design concepts, assembling artwork to become print ready and assisting quality control of brand integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Creation of mock up designs to a print ready standard using line art templates and clients vector artwork combined with brand guidelines documents
• Compile artwork approval documentation with inputted key data points such as decoration size, position, brand / decoration colours such as Pantone, CMYK values
• Quality control check client supplied artwork files to ensure print ready and will provide a quality decoration result when applied onto product
• Assess files for risk such as fine details for legibility at actual size, artwork errors in existing files for faults, or colour discrepancies
• Assist to develop merchandise ranges for clients in line with their brand guidelines and to suit their brief where required
• Promote the Promo Gear brand in accordance with the service delivery plan
• Communicate with supply chain and clients alike to ensure delivery of a premium product delivery in conjunction with the design and marketing and sales team where required

About you

• Experience and knowledge of Adobe Illustrator/ Vector artwork / Colour Matching Systems
• Excellent attention to detail and quality
• Technologically proficient (Eg: MS Office Suite) and the ability to master new programs including proprietary systems
• Strong data entry skills including note making
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Willingness to learn
• Creative thinker/problem solver
• Ability to multitask with a positive attitude
• Self-motivated individual who can handle pressure and deliver
