Location: Cairns

We're looking for a driven, outgoing sales professional to grow our functions and group bookings across our restaurant venues.

This isn't a role for someone who waits for enquiries to come in.

We want someone who loves picking up the phone, visiting businesses and building long-term relationships.

About the Role

You'll be responsible for generating new business through proactive sales and relationship building.

Your focus will include:

• Tour operators and inbound travel companies
• Coach tour groups
• Cruise and travel wholesalers
• Corporate functions
• Conference and incentive groups
• Hotels and concierge teams
• Wedding planners
• Event organisers
• Sporting clubs
• Schools and universities
• Social clubs
• Local businesses
• Birthday and celebration bookings

You'll also develop relationships with tourism organisations throughout Queensland, including Cairns, identifying opportunities to bring group business to our venues.

What You'll Do

• Prospect and generate new business every week.
• Cold call, email and visit potential clients.
• Build relationships with tourism operators, travel agents and hotels.
• Attend networking events.
• Conduct venue inspections.
• Follow up every lead professionally.
• Maintain an active sales pipeline.
• Work with our marketing team on promotions and campaigns.
• Negotiate group packages and event proposals.
• Meet monthly sales targets.

About You

You are:

• A confident communicator.
• Naturally proactive.
• Commercially minded.
• Highly organised.
• Comfortable with cold calling.
• Great at building relationships.
• Self-motivated and results driven.
• Experienced in hospitality, tourism or B2B sales (preferred).

Existing contacts within tourism, corporate events or the travel industry will be highly regarded.

Pay: $54,398.52 – $154,129.98 per year
