Business Development Intern

About The RoleWe’re looking for an Entrepreneur / Business Development Intern to join Founders Edge - one of Australia’s fastest-growing startup communities. You’ll help secure sponsorships, grants, and partnerships, drive strategic initiatives, and get hands-on exposure with ecosystem VIP's including investors, operators, and founders. This is an unpaid role to start, but if you demonstrate strong ownership and results, there may be an opportunity for future paid work as we scale.
What you’ll doIdentify and pitch sponsors, partners, and grantsBuild and manage outreach pipelinesSupport partnership decks, proposals, and commercial conversationsAssist with strategy, market research, and growth experimentsWork closely with the founder on strategic initiativesAttend events and engage with investors, speakers, and community members(We'd also like to support you on your journey. So happy to curate the role to help you get the most out of your time with us.)
You'll be great for this role is you...Are proactive, curious, and a strong communicatorHave an interest in startups, entrepreneurship, and business strategyAre confident speaking with senior stakeholdersAre organised, reliable, and ready to learn by doing(You don’t need to tick every box - skills can be taught, attitude cannot.)
