About the office
The Admissions Office manages domestic applications to study at the University, including direct applications and applications through tertiary admission centres. The team works closely with Registry, Faculties and other University areas to assess applications, support enrolments and provide a smooth experience for applicants and internal stakeholders
About the role
The Admissions Coordinator helps manage the day-to-day admissions process for domestic students. The role works closely with Senior Admission Officers, Faculties, Schools and other teams to plan intake activities, manage key deadlines and offer rounds, monitor application progress, support readmissions and help resolve workflow issues. The role also supports staff training, maintains process documents and helps improve admissions processes to provide a positive applicant experience and supports the University’s enrolment goals. The position reports to the National Manager, Admissions.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate domestic admissions activity across intake cycles, including key dates, offer rounds and application progress.
Support consistent national admissions processes and help resolve workflow issues.
Monitor application pipelines, identify delays and support timely follow-up.
Coordinate offer release and ensure applicant communications are accurate and timely.
Work with Faculties, Schools, Registry, Marketing and other teams to support admissions activity.
Maintain accurate admissions information, process documents and system data.
Support team training, compliance requirements and continuous process improvement.
Qualifications, skills & experience
Relevant degree or equivalent experience and training.
Experience in domestic admissions, including application assessment, offers, deadlines and applicant communications.
Strong planning, coordination and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
Ability to support team workflow, solve problems and identify risks or process issues.
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work with internal and external partners.
Good systems skills, including Microsoft Office, student management systems, admissions platforms and databases.
High attention to detail, with the ability to interpret policies, procedures and admissions requirements accurately.
Commitment to compliance, confidentiality, data quality and continuous improvement.
