Senior Accountant | Public Practice | Southeast

Our client is a well-established South Easte public practice firm known for the quality of its client relationships and the calibre of its people. As the firm continues to grow, they're looking for a Senior Accountant or high Intermediate.

About The Role

You'll work closely with the firm's Managers and Directors across a varied portfolio of business and individual clients, taking genuine responsibility for the compliance and advisory work in your care.

You'll be responsible for:

Preparing financial statements, income tax returns and BAS/IAS for a mixed portfolio of clients (companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals)Managing your own workload and deadlines, with support from a Manager rather than constant oversightBeing a genuine point of contact for clients, fielding questions, explaining outcomes clearly, and building relationships that lastReviewing and mentoring the work of Junior and Intermediate team membersIdentifying opportunities to add value for clients beyond the immediate compliance task at hand

About You

CA or CPA qualified, or close to completion, support is available to help you finish up if needed4 years' experience in an Australian public practice environmentStrong technical grounding across tax and financial statement preparationExcellent communication skills, confident and clear with clients, not just with numbersWell organised, deadline-driven, and comfortable owning your own workloadA genuine interest in client relationships, not just technical delivery
