About the role:

The City is looking for a detail-focused, solutions-driven Finance Officer who enjoys working across diverse financial functions and takes pride in keeping things accurate, compliant and running smoothly. This unique fixed term opportunity is to backfill an internal secondment.

The role is part of a greater multi-functional finance team, where team members perform functions across the breadth of the team as required. It primarily administers the City’s core Accounts Receivable functions, and is a key contributor to insurance administration, and potentially asset accounting support, while delivering exceptional service to both internal and external customers.

What you’ll bring to the role:

The ideal candidate will align with the City’s Values and be able to demonstrate a range of the below competencies:

• Demonstrated experience in a multi-functional finance-based position.
• Demonstrated experience in, and understanding of the Accounts Receivable Function including account management and debt recovery.
• Demonstrated understanding of general insurance related matters including claims procedures.
• Sound knowledge of financial accounting procedures, including with regard to Asset Accounting.

Pre-employment requirements:

• Current C Class Driver’s Licence.
• National Police Clearance (less than six months old).
• Proof of right to work in Australia.
• Pre-employment medical (arranged and paid for by the City).
