Job DescriptionJoondalup Health Campus is seeking an experienced Specialist Staff Development Midwife to join us on a part-time basis.
About the Role
Principal responsibilities to include (but not limited to):
Contributes to and participates in the education of all clinical staff by being involved in departmental/hospital orientation, in-servicing and clinical competence programs.
Liaison with the Clinical Midwife Manager regarding education needs of their staff.
The Specialist Staff Development Midwife will also make a valuable contribution to the hospital Quality Improvement process.
About You
Demonstrated commitment to uphold and promote the Ramsay Way core values.
Relevant registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia.
Demonstrated post registration and extensive experience in Midwifery Care.
Be proficient in all clinical skills relevant to the chosen field (Midwifery) and demonstrate competency in hospital specific competencies.
Demonstrated ability to educate staff in formal and informal settings.
Knowledge of work contracts and methods of assisting and facilitating learning.
High level interpersonal and (written and verbal) communication skills.
Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required.
Demonstrated negotiation and problem-solving skills.
Excellent time management skills.
Sound computer literacy in all Microsoft programs.
Desirable:
Relevant post-graduate qualifications.
Completion of preceptorship program or equivalent.
Manual Handling/Basic Life support/Medication assessor competence.
Certificate IV Workplace Training and Assessment.
